Bookkeeping for Orlando Small Businesses

Orlando-based bookkeeping for small businesses. Monthly books, catch-up work, sales tax, and QuickBooks setup. Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Bookkeeping for Orlando

Orlando has tens of thousands of small businesses that have nothing to do with theme parks. Restaurants along Mills Avenue and East Colonial. Contractors building out new developments in Lake Nona and Horizon West. Cleaning companies servicing vacation rentals. Retail shops in the Milk District. We are an Orlando-based small business bookkeeper that works with the owners behind all of it.

Our office is in the Lake Nona area, and most of our clients are spread across Orlando and Orange County. We handle monthly bookkeeping, catch-up work for books that have fallen behind, sales tax filings, invoicing, bill payment, and QuickBooks setup. Johanna is bilingual in English and Spanish, so we serve business owners in both languages without anything getting lost in translation.

Full-Service Bookkeeping

Transactions categorized, bank and credit card accounts reconciled, books closed every month. You get financial statements that actually tell you how the business is performing instead of a shoebox of receipts and a vague sense of where things stand.

Catch-Up Bookkeeping

If your books are months or years behind, we go back through everything, clean it up, and bring you current. This is how most client relationships start. There is no judgment, just the work to get things right.

Sales Tax Filing

Florida sales tax calculated, tracked, and filed on time. If you run a restaurant, retail store, or any business collecting sales tax, missed deadlines and incorrect filings create problems that are easier to prevent than fix.

Invoicing and Bill Payment

We handle accounts receivable and accounts payable so money comes in on schedule and bills go out on time. You stop chasing payments and worrying about whether something slipped through the cracks.

Who We Work With in Orlando

Orlando’s economy is more varied than people give it credit for. Tourism drives a lot of it, but underneath that are restaurants and bars along every corridor, construction companies keeping up with one of the fastest-growing metros in the country, real estate investors buying rental properties, and service businesses covering everything from commercial cleaning to pool maintenance. All run by owners who would rather focus on their work than their accounting.

We work with businesses that have outgrown doing their own books but are not large enough for a full-time accountant. Typically $100K to a few million in annual revenue. Owners who know they need better financial visibility but haven’t had the time or the right person to make it happen.

Restaurants and Hospitality

Orlando is a restaurant city, and the margins are tight. Johanna spent 17 years in hospitality finance before starting Zacosta. Food cost tracking, labor analysis, tip reporting, and daily sales reconciliation are not new territory for us.

Contractors and Trades

Residential and commercial work across a metro that keeps expanding. Job tracking, equipment expenses, subcontractor payments, and books that hold up when you apply for bonding or financing. Growth is constant here and your financials need to keep pace.

Home and Property Services

Landscaping, pool service, cleaning companies, pest control. Orlando’s climate and housing growth keep these businesses busy year-round. We track the numbers so you know which accounts and routes are actually worth your time.

Retail and Service Businesses

Shops, salons, studios, professional services. Whether you are in a plaza on Colonial Drive or running a business out of your home office, we keep the books clean and the sales tax filed so you can spend your energy on customers instead of paperwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your office?

Tavistock Lakes Blvd in the Lake Nona area of Orlando. Most day-to-day work happens remotely, but we are here if you want to meet in person.

Do you offer services in Spanish?

Yes. Johanna is bilingual in English and Spanish and originally from Puerto Rico. We work with both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking business owners.

What does monthly bookkeeping cost?

Starting at $199 per month depending on your expense volume. We quote a flat monthly rate after learning about your business. No hourly billing.

My books are months behind. Where do we start?

With catch-up work. We go through your bank and credit card history, reconstruct what happened, clean everything up, and get you current. Then we move to monthly bookkeeping so it stays that way.

Do you have experience with restaurants?

Yes. Johanna spent 17 years in hospitality and food and beverage finance across hotel and resort operations in Florida, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico. Restaurant and hospitality books are familiar territory.
